Description: The August Technology Committee meeting of AmCham will feature a presentation entitled "Next Generation Mobile Applications" by Jason Wang, a senior consultant in the Information Communications and Entertainment practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting. This presentation is topical given the global effort to develop "killer apps" by telecommunication providers transition from 2G to 3G networks.

In addition to Jason's presentation, the Committee will also briefly review other current business.

  1. The Telecom Committee Monthly meeting will revert to first Wednesday of every month beginning September 5
  2. The September breakfast meeting will be another joint meeting of the Telecom and Technology committees. The September meeting will address: "The Commercial Outlook for 3G in Taiwan". The featured speaker with be Mr. Arthur Tan. Director of Telecom and Internet Research at IDC Taiwan.
